Your financial life is sensitive. Amble is built so that your data stays under your control from the start.
Local-first data and biometrics
Your income, expenses, goals, and spending records are stored exclusively on your device. You can unlock Amble quickly using your biometrics.
Master-key encryption
Your vault is encrypted with a random 256-bit master key using AES-GCM-256.
No account required
Amble has no accounts, and we never ask for your email, phone number or a social login. There is no central account database to breach. If you choose to turn on cloud backup, your storage provider will ask you to approve access to a private app folder in your account, which Amble reads only on your device to show which account is connected.
Encrypted backups
If you turn on cloud backup, your data is encrypted with your random 256-bit master key before it leaves your phone and stored in a private, hidden folder.
No tracking or ads
We don't use third-party analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioural trackers in the app. Your activity is not monitored or monetised.
No backdoor
Amble operates no central servers and holds no master backdoor into your data.
