Security at Amble
Your financial life is sensitive. Amble is built so that your data stays under your control from the start.
Local-first data
Your income, expenses, goals, and spending history are stored on your device — not on our servers. We can't see your numbers because we never receive them.
PIN-protected encryption
Your vault is encrypted with AES-GCM-256. The encryption keys are derived from your 6-digit PIN. Without your PIN, the data on your device is unreadable.
No account required
Amble doesn't ask for your email, phone number, or social login. There is no central account database to breach.
Encrypted backups
If you back up to Google Drive or iCloud, the backup file is encrypted with the same keys. It can only be restored in Amble with your PIN.
No tracking or ads
We don't use third-party analytics, advertising identifiers, or behavioural trackers in the app. Your activity is not monitored or monetised.
No reset backdoor
For your protection, there is no PIN recovery. This prevents anyone — including us — from bypassing your encryption. Keep your PIN somewhere safe.
